![]() ![]() With the threat of gang violence and police brutality returning to the hooker-run Oldtown, Dwight attempts to dispose of the body while a shady organization tries to retrieve it. ![]() After the boyfriend (named Jackie-Boy) makes the mistake of pulling a gun on one of the prostitutes, him and his friends are killed only for Dwight to discover the worst, he’s a cop. In this story Dwight chases after an abusive ex-boyfriend of Shellie (the woman he’s currently seeing) and they end up in Oldtown. In the end I’ll go with the second story to star Dwight and the third story featured in the movie, The Big Fat Kill. This is the only Sin City story that I would call skippable.įrom here on out these are truly excellent examples of storytelling and let me tell you, it was incredibly difficult to rank some of the middle choices here. I won’t spoil why they’re investigating the murders and why they even care but read the graphic novel for yourself to find out. The mystery does get the reader curious but the payoff is in my opinion very weak. Family Values concerns Dwight and Miho going on a mission to investigate a mob hit at a local diner. It’s not bad by any means but it pales in comparison to the other five big Sin City stories. This is the only story on the list that I would consider to be mediocre. Now then with that out of the way, let’s begin. They range from good to meh and there are maybe one or two that actually stood out to me (the ones with Blue Eyes in case you’re curious). If you want my opinion on the short stories (collected in the Broads, Booze and Bullets trade) they’re alright. ![]() Let me make one thing clear first, the short stories will not be included. With the first movie regarded as an all-time classic and the second one on the way, I thought it might be time to give you my definitive list of the Sin City stories from worst to best. You can read just about any Sin City story out of order and still get the full impact while fans will notice little touches here and there for them to enjoy. Sin City is one of the greatest achievements in self-contained comic stories ever. And now for something completely different. ![]()
